ABOUT THE PROGRAM
The Sub:Culture Fellows program is designed to support college students of color by providing them with opportunities for personal and professional development and a robust web of support for their first two years in college.

The program will consist of a weekly virtual cohort gathering, weekly leadership and professional development opportunities, college success seminars, monthly stipends, textbook scholarships, augmented financial aid, and a personal mentor.

Program Details
1:1 MENTORING
Fellows will be matched with a personal mentor and will meet with the same mentor for the entirety of the program.
COMMUNITY OF BELONGING
Fellows engage, network, and support each other through weekly virtual cohort gatherings, in-person orientation and debriefing, and college success seminars with the same cohort for the entire two years.
LEADERHSIP & PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Fellows are automatically enrolled in leadership and professional development opportunities for undergraduate students of color that transform them into strategic thinkers in their career paths.
IDENTITY DEVELOPMENT
Fellows will partcipate in assessments related to learning, and communications styles, mindfulness and social- emotional techniques, ancestry DNA storytelling, and racial identity development. Students will be given the opportunity to debrief results with industry professionals in a related field.
In addition Fellows are given priority application status when applying for a Homegoing Trip to one of four countries in Africa.
FINANCIAL SUPPORT
Fellows receive monthly stipends, textbook and technology scholarships, and augmented financial aid. The awarded funds are intended to support academic and living expenses. Fellows will automatically be enrolled in financial management and literacy courses as a requirement for participation.
Eligibility Criteria
- You must have a 2.5 (cumulative) or higher
- You must be on track for graduation
- You must have at least one non-related reference.
